Cecilia has been in the industry since 2005 and is internationally qualified in make-up artistry by ITEC, CIDESCO, IPTI and City and Guilds.
After successfully qualifying at College, she went on to lecture make-up artistry and prosthetics for 5 years. She is also an accredited assessor and moderator by SETA. Cecilia was prompted to further enhance her skills and decided to study hairdressing on a part-time basis. She qualified as a hairdresser in 2009.
During this period she started her dedicated service in the Film and TV industry at the public broadcaster, SABC. She worked as a makeup artist and hair stylist at the news studios of SABC 1, 2 and 3 and on shows like Focus and Interface.
To further expand her horizons in 2010 she moved on to eTV’s News studios. Here she worked for 4 years on a permanent basis doing make-up and hair for shows like Sun Rise, eNuus, eAfrica News, Prime Time News, eNCA and the likes of 3rd Degree and Great Expectations, Africa 360, Judge for Yourself, Inside Out, Out of Africa, Sports Fan and The Justice Factor. Seven years later, as her time is more limited, she still works on eNuus.
She has also been part of the makeup crew on the following film and/or television productions:

Outside of the TV and Film industry her works include amongst others photo shoots for Huisgenoot and Bona magazine. Fashion shows for ‘Nokia N Series – Face of Africa’ and ‘Steel Model of the Year 2001 and One time airlines fashion show is also under her belt.
Throughout her career, she felt she was so privileged to have worked on so many different things in such a small timeframe. She had so much knowledge to offer and could help fellow make-up artist
She then decided to start working on her own brand of make-up brushes and the type of make-up accessories that a make-up artist needs when working on set (things that was not available in SA or not yet invented). She hoped that her products will cater for the needs of each individual from the makeup artist to the student or anyone who loves makeup.
As the response was so amazing from these products, Cecilia soon realized it can not only stop there. She then decided to develop a makeup range. Now Creative Glamour has a full-on makeup range and is still developing more products every year so they can expand their product offerings.
Cecilia is truly rising to the challenge of making Creative glamour one of the top professional make up brands in South Africa.
